What To Do When Your MLM Sponsor Quits

The network marketing industry is notorious for its drop out rate. The reason is that a lot of people join in the hope that other people will do everything for them. In short, they believe the hype about how they won't have to sell and yet will make thousands of dollars doing NOTHING.

Doh!

When that doesn't happen, it is not surprising that so many give up and quit - including your sponsor in all probability!

So what should you do if your MLM sponsor quits?

Most people will either (1) get dispirited and quit as well, or (2) go upline and search for the next available sponsor to look after you.

The problem with both of these options is that you are adopting a sheep-like mentality of either (1) following someone out of the business or (2) staying in the business in the hope that you will find a new leader.

Either way, you are not going to transorm your life...

If you keep looking for the person to follow you may never really find them. In reality the successful MLM big dogs don't have time to piccle around everyone else's lamp post.

So, if you want to succeed in MLM you are going to have learn to do most of the work yourself, and you will only do that if you know about the business in detail, are enthusiastic about the products, and are going to get off your butt and put yourself about a bit.

Here is an idea you can take and run with even if your mlm sponsor quits.

You are in business for yourself, so be accountable to YOURSELF!

1. Study the business plan.

2. Buy the products and run reviews about why you like them and so would your customers.

3. Spend most of your time sponsoring and not babysitting - be polite and helpful with your downline, especially if they ask questions, but don't invest too much time in passive loser types.

4. Work downline and motivate your distributors that way. Foster those who show signs of being eager to take action. If they can not get excited about having a large group that is their problem.

You are in business for yourself and must get up everyday and decide what you are going to do to be successful. If you believe in the goods your MLM offers, and if you believe in the MLM, you'd better get pro-active and self-reliant.

Do You Enjoy Internet Marketing

One reason why so many people have problems with internet marketing is that they don't really enjoy it...

That's a pity because it can be a lot of fun!

Yes, really!

Have you ever tried to build a web site without knowing what on earth you are doing? A lot of people pay to have someone build their website for them... but then when it is ready they start fiddling with it and try and make changes to it. Then everything goes wrong and they can't figure out what to do... so they get disillusioned, give up and quit.

Trying to build a web page without knowing what you are doing is a miserable business. Even making the smallest changes to a web page is hard if you do not know how to do it.

Another thing that isn't very enjoyable is working every hour in the week to promote your business and ending up with a cheque for just $5.25. Here in Japan where I live I wouldn't be able to cash a cheque that small because of the transaction charges.

Even less enjoyable than that would be working 20 hours a week for 6 months and making zero, but spending over a thousand dollars to do it.

This is part of the reason niche blogging works so well for so many people. At least when the money is not coming in it's still fun to write about something you enjoy or have a passion for.

I started out on the Internet by talking about what I enjoy - playing mahjong! I found it a lot of fun and now I have made a very healthy part time business out of it.

The best thing to do is to do what you like best and outsource the rest.

If you can not afford to do that then either go get a part time job to fund your business, or find ways to have more fun, think about how to turn your fun into a business...

... and the money will follow.

5 Home Business Tips For Starting Online...

Here are 5 home business tips to follow when you set up your venture on the Internet:

1. Set aside a place at home where you work. When you are at your desk make sure everyone understands that you are working and should be left alone. The rule should be the same as in a regular job: when at work, NO distractions will be tolerated...

2. Set a schedule and then stick to it. Do not waste time online on things that will not make you money. Just as you should not permit people to distract you from your mission, neither should you permit the Internet to distract you. Stay disciplined!

3. One of your first actions online should be to set up a blog. Blog in a way that will be enjoyable for readers and useful for search engines. Use it as the place where you PRE-sell your products before your readers check out your offer via your link to your sales page.

Add videos to your blog or your website to give it vitality and instant appeal. You can import videos from video sharing sites like YouTube, either other people's or your own. Making your own videos of yourself talking to the camera is a great way to build instant rapport with people who visit your blog. Make it an exciting place to be and people will come back.

4. Set a budget, but include in it at least one form of paid advertising. Find the one that you can afford and do it on a regular basis. This is the only way to guarantee traffic when you first start out.

5. Work on long term traffic with free publicity techniques such as article marketing, social networking, forum participation and so forth to start generating backlinks.

Tips For Developing A Link Partner Strategy For Your Online Business

The name of the game with Internet Marketing is productivity. Productivity means reaching the greatest number of targeted prospects with the least effort and expense to generate the most sales.

The key to productivity is leverage: expanding your marketing activity with resources and systems that run without your direct effort or excessive involvement.

Developing a Link Partner strategy is one recommended way to leverage your efforts and increase your productivity, although there are numerous additional ways to apply leverage to your Internet business efforts. These may include:

- Advertising in ezines, online forums, websites and other sources

- Participation as a member in online business and marketing forums

- Participation in Social Networking sites

With each of these leveraging systems, it may take some effort and time to get them set up and to begin establishing your website presence.

The advantage to any or all of these systems is that once set up, they will produce results for you with minimal effort and will continue to do so for extended periods of time.

Link Partners are website owners or webmasters with whom you exchange your website link. You will place a link to their site somewhere on your website, and they will place your link somewhere on their site.

Links can be in text ad form or banner form. Links might be included in an article, a site review or a blog post. Or they might be listed in a business services directory. The style or nature of the link exchange should be agreed upon before the links are posted to prevent any misunderstandings or disappointments.

Link Partners may be easy to find, but the real essence of an effective Link Partner strategy is exchanging links with quality websites. That is, sites with a respectable PageRank and who are already attracting the same kind of visitors that you are targeting for your online business.

There are many good web tools available that can be used to check the PageRank of a website. You can do an Internet search for page rank tools.

To find quality sites and to encourage them to want to support your Link Partner strategy, here are some recommended steps:

1) When surfing the Internet, watch for and bookmark sites that you believe are suitable for your purpose. You could also do Internet searches for your keywords, then check out the sites that rate the highest in the search engine results.

2) Once you identify a suitable Link Partner candidate, write a complimentary review for the site and post the review on your website or blog page.

3) Contact the webmaster or owner of the reviewed site, advise them of the review and give them permission to publish the review on their site along with a link pointing back to your site as the review source. As an alternative to publishing the review on their site, they can simply include a link that points to the review on your site.

You can apply this Link Partner strategy to any number of partners you choose, keeping in mind that the more link partners you have, the more effectively you will be able to leverage your efforts and expand your reach.

Productivity is the name of the game. Increased sales are the goal. An effective Link Partner strategy can be the ideal means to achieve the desired end.

Why's It So Difficult For You To Make Money On The Internet?

You know that other people have come from nowhere to earn fortunes on the Internet, so why aren't you making any money online?

If my question applies to you, I'd like you to stop and think about what you are doing wrong...

Believe me, you have the ability to make a lot of money online, and if you haven't done so yet it is either because you lack the appropriate Internet marketing skills, or you simply are not applying them!

Now, we could talk about goal setting, finding an appropriate niche, selecting products to offer the niche market, hiring a good copywriter or learning how to write sales copy.

But, although they are all important Internet marketing skills, the most important skills are to do with generating targeted leads and getting them to visit your website.

The single biggest reason why so few people make money online is because they don't know how to get enough people to look at their website.

TRAFFIC IS THE KEY TO MAKING MONEY ONLINE!

Sounds obvious, doesn't it - but it is the one thing that most people never master. To get round that problem untrained marketers resort to buying expensive leads, or to endlessly clicking for traffic exchange credits, or losing a fortune in an ill-thought out PPC campaign.

So, it is vital to the success of your business that you develop internet marketing skills and become a truly professional internet marketer - and you ain't professional until you can get enough people to stop by your website and look at your stuff and then learn how to set up your site to make it more likely that a reasonable percentage of them will take action...

Here's a tip... Many of the most beautiful looking websites are losing money, while some of the most successful successful Internet marketers have rather basic sites and yet are making a fortune off them.

The truth is, if you know how to get traffic to your site and how to deliver the message they came to get, then you will succeed no matter whether it looks like it costs thousands of dollars to build or just a few cents.

One last tip...

You will stand a much higher chance of mastering Internet marketing if you know where to find top-quality marketers and if you are willing to pay to get access to them.

Here is my top recommendation for an online mentor who will teach you everything you need to know to succeed online and who goes way beyond the call of duty to provide his clients with information they need to succed:

Why It Makes Sense To Pay For Advertising

Don't you think it is weird that so many Internet marketers dream of making big profits without spending any money on advertising?

Don't you think that the much-touted 95%+ failure rate of online businesses might be connected in part to such chronic under-investment?

Okay, so it may be difficult for you to write your own advertising copy. But there are experts out there who can do it for you - and you can find many of them willing to do it for very reasonable prices if you do your research on outsourcing websites.

Another option for both affiliate marketers and network marketers is to utilize the co-op advertising services offered by many network marketing and affiliate marketing programmes.

Many of those co-op programs will generate leads or prospects for a specific business opportunity. However, you can also find other co-ops that are designed to pull in general biz-op leads that you then follow-up with for your specific business opportunity.

If you've ever tried to generate your own leads or customers you'll have realized that it can be a tough and expensive operation. Using paid advertising to take care of your lead generation campaigns will free up your time so that you can do other things for your business that you might enjoy even more.

Every Internet business owner should take a closer look at how they can use paid advertising more effectively to grow their own business. If you do your research, continually test your results it could be the best money you spend on your business.

How A Swipe File Will Keep Your Internet Business Fed With Fresh Ideas...

One reason why some Internet marketers never run out of ideas for their blogs and articles is because they keep a swipe file. A swipe file is simply a file that you keep on your computer desktop (for example) and where you quickly post any interesting ideas or articles that you come across in the course of surfing the Internet.

As an Internet marketer you should have a large swipe file for various aspects of your Internet business, so here are some pointers to help you see the value of a swipe file.

1. Keep catchy email. If one has a particular subject line that catches your eye, rather than delete it save it in your swipe file. These can be great sources for ideas for email campaigns of your own.

2. Store the URLs of those articles that you found especially useful and refer back to them to help you get some ideas of your own. Don't plagiarize - simply use the articles for content ideas of your own.

3. Build up a list of business programmes. If you come across a good potential business programme to join save it in your swipe file.

4. Build up a potential products list. This will help you to develop multiple Internet niche sites whenever you are ready to expand your online presence.

5. Subscribe to some of your favorite blogs. Blogs - especially those written by successful marketers - are excellent sources for ideas and content to save in your swipe file.

So, you know what to do... set up a swipe file right now. It just takes a few seconds to create a new folder on your desktop and label it "SWIPE FILE"!!
